Part A – Website Terms of Use¶

1. Access¶

Provided “as is” for general information; no guarantee of uninterrupted or error‑free access.

2. Reliance¶

Content is general guidance; obtain professional/site‑specific advice before acting.

3. Intellectual property¶

All content owned/licensed by us; personal use only unless we consent in writing.

4. Linking¶

Link fairly to our home page; do not frame or imply endorsement. We’re not responsible for third‑party sites.

5. Security¶

No guarantee site is bug/virus‑free; use your own protection.

Part B – Trading Terms¶

1. Definitions¶

We/Us: Cove Security Systems Limited. You: the customer. Goods: security equipment we supply. Services: survey, design, installation, commissioning, handover, maintenance.

2. Quotations & surveys¶

• Valid 30 days unless stated.
• Site survey may be required; material changes may require a revised quote.
• Builders’ work/decorative making‑good/mains sockets/cabling excluded unless stated.

3. Scope¶

• Limited to items in our quotation; variations may be chargeable.
• Monitoring/police response per standards and third‑party terms.
• Certification (e.g., SSAIB) issued if specified and after commissioning.

4. Your responsibilities¶

• Provide safe access and clear work area.
• Provide power and, where needed, stable internet with permissions.
• Advise of risks (e.g., asbestos) and comply with H&S.

5. Delivery, risk & title¶

• Risk passes on delivery/installation.
• Title remains with us until paid in full.

6. Payment¶

• Due on completion or per staged schedule.
• BACS; pay‑by‑link card by arrangement; cheques by agreement.
• Deposit may be required for specialist equipment.
• Business late payment charges per statute.

7. Warranty¶

• Workmanship 12 months unless stated.
• Manufacturer warranty on equipment; consumables excluded.
• Excludes misuse, unauthorised modification, power/network faults, third‑party interference.

8. Maintenance & monitoring¶

• Maintenance plans include routine inspections and reasonable remote support (business hours).
• Monitoring via third parties; their terms/fees apply.

9. System limitations¶

• Systems reduce risk; they do not prevent all incidents. We are not an insurer.
• Performance depends on site conditions, lighting, network and coverage.
• False alarms can occur; authority/third‑party fees are your responsibility.

10. Cancellation (consumers)¶

• 14‑day right to cancel for distance/off‑premises sales; charges apply for requested early work/goods.
• Cancel via info@covesecuritysystems.com with details.

11. Liability¶

• No limit for death/personal injury by negligence, fraud, or non‑excludable liability.
• Otherwise exclude indirect/consequential loss; cap at price paid.

Part C – General & Legal¶

1. Data protection¶

See Privacy & Cookie Policy. CCTV operators must display signage and comply with law.

2. Events outside our control¶

We are not responsible for delays/failure due to events beyond reasonable control.

3. Governing law¶

England & Wales law; exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
